PRIVACY POLICY
Revere is founded on the goal of helping people build stronger relationships. Because some of this information may be personal to you and others, we promise to keep your information private and in your control.
It’s important to know how your information is used so we tried to make this document as clear as possible by including a summarizing sentence at the start of each section.
This Privacy Policy covers Revere's treatment of your personal information when you use the Revere App. This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Revere does not own or control.
Information You Provide to Us
Summary: We need certain information to make create your account and make Revere useful for you.
We only collect personal information that is relevant to the purpose of our App. This information allows us to provide you with a customized and efficient experience. We collect the following types of information from our Revere users:
• Email for creating an account and sending system update messages
• The things you decide to put into Revere
Information Collected by Revere
Summary: We collect data and log some information as you use Revere to make the App more useful and troubleshoot issues.
Feature Permissions:
In order for you to use certain Revere features you must grant certain permissions on your phone (Siri or Notifications, for example). Revere currently doesn’t store any data from those features that you haven’t explicitly added (like the date & time of a reminder) but some information may be sent to Apple (like voice recordings for Siri). Apple’s privacy policies, not Revere’s, would apply to that information.
Automatic Information:
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. Revere and its authorized agents (like certain services tools we use for our database or networking, for example) automatically receive and record certain "traffic data" on their server logs from your phone including your IP address. Revere uses this data to help diagnose problems with its servers, analyze trends, and administer the App.
E-mail Communications
Summary: We will send you emails based on your profile settings. From time to time, we may send emails to all our users.
We will never provide your email address to a third party without your explicit permission, as detailed in the "Sharing Your Information" section below. Revere may send out e-mails with Revere-related news, products, offers, surveys or promotions. If you do not want to receive e-mail from us, you can opt-out in the footer of any email. However, please note that in all cases you will continue to receive system e-mails from us (e.g. password resets or updates to our policies).
Sharing Your Information
Summary: We do not sell your information to anyone. However, we may provide information to authorities where required by law.
We neither rent nor sell your personal information to anyone. We will share your personal information only as described below.
Revere Personnel:
Revere personnel and authorized consultants and/or contractors may have access to user information if necessary in the normal course of Revere business.
Business Transfers:
In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, user information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred. Moreover, if Revere, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred.
Protection of Revere and Others:
We may release personal information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with a law; to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other policies; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Revere, our employees, our users, or others.
With Your Consent:
Except as noted above, we will contact you when your personal information is shared with third parties or used for a purpose incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected, and you will be able to opt out to prevent the sharing of this information.
Keeping Information Secure
Summary: Our employees may not access your information unless required to do a specific job.
Only employees who need personal information to perform a specific job (troubleshoot a very specific issue) are granted access to it.
Control and Use of Your Information
Summary: You can choose not to share information with us, but your experience of the App may be limited.
As stated previously, you can always choose not to disclose information, but you may be unable to use certain features on our App.
If you do not wish to receive e-mail from us or other Revere users, you can unsubscribe in the footer of any e-mail.
However, please note that you will continue to receive all system e-mails (e.g. those regarding forgotten user passwords) and legal notices (e.g. updates to our policies) from us.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Summary: Privacy policy may change but we’ll let you know.
Revere may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time, at its sole discretion. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time when such information is used. If we make changes to the Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting an announcement in the Revere App or by email, so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances if any, it is disclosed.
